Magnate Corrigan

Magnate Corrigan is the head representative of Starcaller, leader of the Knights of the Dragon. While no one knows Magnate Corrigan’s true race, there are speculations that he’s either Human or Solin. The Magnate is responsible for managing members of the Order, organizing funds and administering the direction of the knights. He also is the only one who is allowed to directly speak with Starcaller since the Ophidian’s (dragon’s) request for isolation nearly ten years ago (though others claim to have spoken to him through interpretive dreams). Corrigan is also quite mysterious, as he refuses to remove his protective armors. It’s said that the Magnate suffers from an incurable radiation poisoning or psychic disease and wears his vestments to hide the disfiguration of his flesh.

Nonetheless, Corrigan is said to be not only one of the wisest, but most talented psions within the order. His Gyrokinetic (gravity) and Ferrokinetic (metals) abilities allow him to conduct miraculous deeds such as levitating, bending metal and even stopping vehicles in midair. In spite of this, Corrigan rarely shows off his gifts, instead trying to solve most problems through diplomacy and logic. He teaches the other knights strength through stillness, underlining the importance of patience. Still, even with his teachings, Corrigan is not afraid of danger. He understands that sometimes there is a need to risk in order to do what is right. Such is why for the last decade, none have challenged his authority, as the knights trust in Corrigan to make the right choices at the right times.

Recently, Magnate Corrigan has concentrated the Order’s efforts onto the protection of the Hexisan Galaxy from outside forces. While Corrigan will not give away his motives, its speculated that he fears the presence of other Ophidians. Such is why members of the Order have been patrolling the outer limits of Hexisan, setting up bases of operations among distant planets. While the Hexisan Union has not questioned the Order’s actions, some say that there are whispers of an investigation in order to ensure that the Order is not conducting any illegal activities.

Chancellor Anya Hosmod

Chancellor Anya Hosmod is a talented seer and Earth native from the country of New Persia (freshly established government made of Middle-Eastern territories) who gave up her life as a politician to join the Knights of the Dragon. Anya had earned her political title of High Diplomat after her well known father stepped down, inheriting his support from the New Persian people. For five years she held the seat with great pride, but secretly felt her talents and education were being wasted on a position that was more of prestige than influence. So, when reelections surfaced again, Hosmod stepped down and bought passage to Hexisan to join Starcaller's Knighthood.

She had always been a very capable psychic, able to predict the present and future with great accuracy. So, when she was accepted into the Dragon Knights society, Anya not only helped the small faction by donating her life's savings, but also advised them in the ways of growth and prosperity with the help of her psionic abilities. As time went on and she was trained by the great space dragon, Anya began to see much farther into the future, an awakening that also changed her demeanor. Foreseeing some of the darker reaches of existence frightened Anya, but also inspired her to once again take up politics in an attempt to steer the powers that be in the right direction and avoid great catastrophe.

Her new title , Chancellor of the Dragon, allows Anya to not only gain support to her Knighthood, but also make sure that some of the more troubled factions tread more carefully. While she is not as capable as some of the knights are in combat, her ability to wield words makes her far more advantageous to the cause than a squad of warrior knights combined. Currently, she has made her way to the Milky Way, where she is running a campaign to further unify the Terran Alliance (T.A.F., Prometheus, and the House), in hopes they can put away their petty squabbles in order to advance the Terran cause.

Update: Chancellor of Dragons, Anya Hosmod was captured on the planet Atlantis VI by what is believed to be a coalition of pirates. It is uncertain as to where these pirates have taken her or why, some strongly believe she is being held captive by none other than Captain Vasquez himself. Theories for her kidnapping include recent pirate hostilities towards Hexisan importing, especially since the Ambit, a station that harbors alien visitors, has been orbiting extremely close to pirate borders. Investigators are working hard on recovering Anya, whose recent efforts to unify the Milky Way and Hexisan galaxies has faired extremely well, is an essential part of furthering the bond between cultures.

Namazu

Namazu is a Rasari exile who keeps most of his history a secret. What is definite is that he is a skilled Hydrokinesis psion, an ability that has aided, but also may have endangered him. For it is speculated that Namazu has been able to dive deeper into Neenad's depths than any Rasari are physically able to. And what he found at the bottom of the great ocean's floor resulted in his immediate escape from the Sea Planet and to the moon of Dalirath.

It's also speculated that at one time, Namazu was a brash, unruly individual who on several occasions, was nearly kicked out of Windport. However, it was during this time that Magnate Corrigan stepped in and personally took the young Rasari under his wing. Ever since then, Namazu has not only become reserved and quiet, but an important agent for the Dragon Knights' cause. While he is mediocre psychic, his mastery over the hydrokinesis ability is uncanny. He is also a talented swordsman (swordsrasari) and tactician.

Namazu's armor is distinct, and has become a trademark of what the order represents; complete faith in Starcaller. It was gifted to him by Magnate Corrigan after Namazu returned from a personal mission by the Dragon Knight leader. His blade, an extremely light metal made from a rare star metal called Okiok, is one of the most resistant metals in the Hexisan galaxy. Namazu does not refuse orders to work with others, but tends to operate best when alone. He's some what of an enigma to many of the other knights, as his dedication to the cause is conflicting with his lack of interest in other members.

Rebecca Jodan

Rebecca Jodan was nothing more than a farm girl on the planet Bacchus. Her parents settled there when she was just a little girl, wanting a more humble childhood for her and her siblings. She was raised in simplicity, and cherished every bit of it...except for the dreams. They weren't nightmares, nor were they obvious figments of her imagination. Instead, they were very real, slowly revealing actual names, dates, and coordinates to important places she's never been. Then the dragon appeared in the visions, and soon, Rebecca knew that her destiny involved the creature called "Starcaller".

Rebecca learned to mostly keep the dreams to herself, as people looked at her as bizarre for what she saw. She felt the dreams were a tangle of fate and spirituality, and when she was of age, took her meager savings and bought transport to Hexisan's moon of Dalirath (home of the Dragon Knights). For years she worked in the psi-tech district, making a living for herself until her persistent requests to join the order were taken seriously. Regrettably, those in charge of admissions were reluctant to take in the girl, as she showed no signs of any psion talents. Yet, her resolution and tenacity were finally recognized, and eventually, after ten years, Rebecca was admitted.

Though there are whispers that Starcaller himself has the ability to awaken psions in an individual, it has never been offered to Rebecca. Instead, she remains one of the few mundane knights in the order. Her can do attitude and constant training (martially, academically, and philosophically) has helped keep her a valued member of the organization, and she has grown into quite the leader. Though some see her as a romantic, Rebecca believes that being part of the order is not just a responsibility to the organization, but a sacred duty to existence.

Arjon Travok

Arjon Travok is a human Dragon Knight and former escort of Chancellor Anya Hozmod. Arjon was severely wounded during an attack by pirates on Atlantis VI that left several dead and Hozmod captured. Though Arjon fought bravely, he was shot several times by "Powdered Nose" ground pirates and his throat was cut by a man known as the Jade Samurai. For all intensive purposes, Arjon should have been dead, but the heroic first response attention given by Peyton Ashmore and her partners allowed medical staff to sustain the man until he could be sustained with advanced hospital equipment.

Though Hozmod has had to have several extensive operations, including cybernetic replacements of his lungs, intestines and skull, he has managed to get back on his feet and is recovering nicely. The scars from his attack are still evident, and Arjon has requested that they remain (refusing beatifying treatments) as a reminder of his failure to protect his mark. Though his superiors extend no blame in Arjon's direction, the knight feels personally responsible for failing Anya, and starves for redemption.

Balerion

Balerion is the psionic creation of Starcaller. It is said that Starcaller had once plucked a single tooth from his own maw and molded it in order to create Balerion. While Balerion neither confirms or denies these allegations, it is said that the dragon-man in many ways is an avatar of his master. Balerion is both physically and mentally capable. His great strength, stamina and combative might drives fear in the hearts of his enemies, while his strategic mindset, wise decision making and psionic prowess give him a great edge in all circumstances that he might face.

While some argue that the creation of Balerion is unnatural, anyone who knows him understands that the dragon-man's intentions are always in favor of the protection of the universe. It is also rumored that Balerion neither commits misdeeds nor goes against Starcaller's commands. Yet, many have witnessed Balerion going against the orders of the Great Dragon in order to conduct actions that the dragon-man deems is right. Regardless of what hairs are split, what is certain is that Balerion is a vital member of the Dragon Knights and their development.

Balerion is currently in charge of development of trainees and helps oversee the growth of neophytes throughout the organization. It is said that no knight receives their colors without first going through Balerion. But as valuable as the dragon-man is in the Academy, Balerion continues to take on any quests that help push the Dragon Knight cause. Recently, he has gone on several deadly missions, sometimes returning with only a grim amount of Dragon Knights upon completion. Nonetheless, anyone who associates with Balerion understands that he will do anything in his power to ensure that the order is always doing whatever they can in order to protect both Hexisan and the Universe.

Thint Kanet (Thin-t Ka-Net)

Thint Kanet is a native of Krilon. The adult Balidar grew up in a standard pack with seven other brothers and sisters. While each family member took part in their family's political career, for Thint, the pursuit never sat well. Instead, Thint joined the military, acting as an administration officer. It did not take long for Thint to grow bored of his responsibilities however, and soon, the Balidar volunteered for field work. Thint finished his career as a scouting officer, but did not reenlist after his term due to dissatisfaction with the Balidar armed forces.

Upon return to his domestic-pack, Thint was enlisted by his brothers and sisters as a minor aid to their campaigns. However, once again, after only a short time, Thint grew restless. While his time on both the political and military sides of things did teach him a great amount about diplomatic society and universal threats, it also made the Balidar jaded towards how Hexisan leadership was organizing their galaxy. It wasn't soon after that Thint broke off from any concerns about Hexisan society, instead focusing on the greater picture at hand.

Hoping that there was more to existence then just political intrigue and military strength, Thint wandered the Hexisan Galaxy for sometime. He lived as a basic laborer, military consultant, and eventually, hermit. It was not until meeting his past partner, a Dragon Knight hopeful, that Thint found what he was looking for. He saw courage, wisdom and a cause that he could get behind in the Dragon Knights. Before long, Thint permanently moved to Windport, where he requested enrollment into the Dragon Academy. Although his relationship with the partner who convinced him to pursue other endeavors did not work out, his eventual entrance into the program has given the Balidar great hope.

Brutus Shannahan

Long ago, in a galaxy far from Hexisan, Brutus Shannahan was a middle-aged vehicle technician with little to show for himself besides his dust-cottage, mechanic garage and cruel vicious wife, Martha. He volunteered as a policeman in the evenings just to escape the monotony of his existence, and often found himself wondering where did it all go wrong. But a chance from fate changed all that. Because little did Brutus Shannahan know, just by helping a traveling marshal and his deputies with a mysterious investigation, his life would flip upside-down.

At first it didn't seem that way. He was fired from his volunteer job as a police officer, and was charged with aiding a crime. His wife left him, claiming their home for herself, and even the investigation he'd been assisting with went sour. But because of his loyalty, the thick headed but true of heart marshal who'd accepted Brutus's assistance decided to give the ex-policeman an opportunity to come aboard his ship as a T.A.F. deputy. The responsibility gave Brutus new life, and soon, he was the most loyal of all the traveling law enforcers. He risked his life daily, and as a reward, Brutus was soon traveling to the Hexisan Galaxy with new family.

Then he met Starcaller. While no one knows what the Ophidian told Brutus during this privileged meet, it wasn't long after that Brutus learned of his hidden talents. He was a psion, and shortly afterwards because of it, inducted into the Dragon Academy. Now he defends the galaxy against the many evils that he'd always sworn to stand up against. From mechanic to galaxy defender...this is the tale of Brutus Shannahan.
