Cryokinesis
With this ability, the Psion can reduce the kinetic energy of atoms, effectively making them colder. The Psion may become capable of generating and sending forth various freezing effects. Psions with this ability can also transform moisture/water into varying forms of ice, making shelters and barriers.

1D Cold Resistance: With this ability, the Psion is able to resist extremely cold environments. Many Cryokinesis Psions have been able to walk miles within freezing temperatures with little more than a coat and light clothes due to the benefits of this Psionic capability.

2D Freezing Touch: This Psionic power allows the user to touch and freeze atoms. Liquid becomes ice, and solid, becomes brittle. This power takes a bit of concentration, and the Psion must be touching the target. While this ability isn't useful in combat, it can help when sabotaging computers, chilling overheated engines, and cooling drinking water in hot environments.

3D Ice Generation: When the Psion reaches this level of Cryokinesis, he/she can freeze moisture within the air or on a surface in order to make it icy. So long as the Psion can see the area or target, and concentrates, he/she can freeze the area without touching it. This cold is not enough to damage or harm objects, but it is enough to make surfaces slippery or equipment malfunction with enough concentration.

4D Sculpt Ice: With this Psionic ability, the Psion can shape existing ice (or contort ice that he/she recently mentally created). The Psion must be in line of site of the ice, and focus on it to manipulate the material. If successful, the Psion may shape it, stretch it, or shrink it to their desire. The larger or thicker the intended sculpt, the more focus it takes for the Psion to mold it.

5D Frigid Grip: A Psion who uses this power is able to chill the very surface of their feet (or whatever they are walking on). This allows them to have a solid grip on floors (making slippery surfaces normal for movement), and walls climbable at slow rates. This power is ineffective against very hot temperatures (such as heated metal).

6D Icicles: By focusing on a concentrated area within their hands, the Psion can create a shard of ice weaponry.

7D Cold Immunity: With this ability, the Psion no longer can be wounded by freezing temperatures. They can survive in freezing environments as if it were normal.

8D Ice Armor: This power allows the Psion to freeze a protective layer of ice over themselves in order to guard them against attacks. Though the armor is very effective, it tends to slow the user down.

9D Wintery Path: At this level of Cryokinesis, the Psion is so adept at manipulating ice and cold, that they can create pathways and bridges of ice in an instant. The Psion must concentrate on an area in front of him/her, creating a smooth, slippery surface that can move vertical or horizontal. This wet, clear surface heightens the character's speeds. It also can create a bridge that navigates around obstacles such as obstructions, pits, or rapids. This frozen path begins to melt as it leaves the Psions line of site.

10D Freeze Whole: This dreaded power is one of the deadliest of all Psionic abilities. The Psion is able to focus on a target within their line of site and freeze them whole in an instant. Inanimate material and living tissue alike completely become frozen. Doors become brittle and break apart, small bodies of water turn to solid bridges that vehicles can cross over, and creatures stand perfectly still before shattering into hundreds of pieces of frozen rubble.

Difficulty: Varies

Very Easy- Chilling a cup of water
Easy- Chilling a bucket of water
Moderate- Cooling off an Extra Large Biff's Breakfast Blend Space Coffee
Difficult- Sabotaging a Computer Terminal
Very Difficult- Providing a 10 Meter Sphere of Cool Air surrounding yourself in an otherwise uncomfortably warm enviroment
Heroic- Keeping a damaged Ship Engine from over heating

Duration: Sustained

Range: Touch

Rule: So long as a Psion maintains physical contact with his target and sustains this power he may effectively reduce the temperature of the target.

-20 from Difficulty if the Target Area is submerged in water
-10 from the Difficulty if the Target Area is wet
-5 from the Difficulty if the Target Area is a Cold Environment

+5 to the Difficulty if the Target Area is a Warm Environment
+10 to the Difficulty if the Target area is a dry Environment
+20 to the Difficulty if the Target area is almost completely void of moisture

Duration: Instant

Range: Line of Sight

Rule: If successful the Psion effectively coats a 1 meter square and everything within it in Ice. For Every 5 Points the Psions rolls over the Difficulty he may coat 1 additional square in Ice, all Iced Squares must be Adjacent to each other.

EXCEPTION: When this power targets a body of water it instead creates 1 meter cubes of Ice, Characters and Objects within these targeted cubes will be shunted to the nearest edge of the effected area.

Difficulty: Moderate + Difference in Scale between the Psion and the Ice to be Sculpted.

Duration: Sustained

Range: Line of Sight

Rule: When this Power is sustained the Psion can use his Cyrokinesis Dice Pool to Compliment his Skill Rolls such as Techinical: Construction or Perception: Sculpting, so long as the medium used is Ice. When this power is in use the Character needs no tools to Sculpt the Ice, the Psion simply wills it into the shape he desires. The Target area of Ice effected by this Power can dramatically change shape all within a single combat round, so long as the Psion succeeds on his Skill Rolls.

Rule: While this Power is sustained the Psion may move across slippery surfaces unhindered and may use their Cryokinesis Dice Pool to Compliment Climbing Skill Rolls.

6D Icicle: By focusing on a concentrated area within their hands, the Psion can create a blade of subzero temperatures.

Difficulty: 15

Duration: Instant

Rule: This Power creates a a crude but exceptional dangerously sharp and deadly knife of ice. This Knife can be used either with the Melee Combat Skill, or as a Thrown Weapon. Regardless if the Ice Blade is thrown or used in Melee, it functions as a Knife except that it does additional damage due to it's subzero chill. This Extra Damage is reduced by 1D for every round that the Blade exists until it is simply just a knife of ice.


Damage: Character's Strength Damage + 1D + Half the Psion's Cryokinesis Dice Pool

Range if Thrown: Short 1-3, Medium 4-7, Long 8-10

8D Ice Armor: This power allows the Psion to freeze a protective layer of ice over themselves in order to guard them against attacks. Though the armor is very effective, it tends to slow the user down.

Difficulty: Very Difficult

Duration: Instant

Range: Self

Rule: As an Action the Psion can create for them self a suit of armor made out of Ice. The Armor is created upon the Psion's body and no actions need to be spent donning the Armor. Once the Armor is created it can not be removed without damaging the armor rendering it useless. This power is not sustained, once the Armor is created it remains in existence until it melts or otherwise removed.



Ice Armor Stats:

Armor Value = Half the Psion's Cryokinesis Dice Pool during time of the Armor's Creation or less if the Psion chooses

Armor Penalty to Aglity= Half the Armor's Armor Value (Round Down)

-1 to 10 from Difficulty depending on how wet the environment is

+1 to 10 to the Difficulty depending on how dry the environment is
+1 to 20 to the Difficulty depending upon how warm or hot the environment is

Duration: Instant

Range: Self

Rule: When this power is used, it creates a path of Ice beneath the Psion as they move. Using this power the Psion can create ramps and bridges as they advance forward. In addition to all of this the Psion may add 5 Meters to their Movement.

Note: While this Power allows the Cryokinesis expert to effectively skate through the sky on their spontaneously created path of Ice, any companions seeking to follow should be wary not to slip and fall.

-10 if the Target is Submerged in water

+10 if the Target is in a Dry Enviroment

Duration: Instant

Range: Line of Sight

Rule: If the Psion succeeds in his activation check he then rolls his Cryokinesis Dice Pool in Damage against the Target. This Damage can be Resisted with Stamina, Armor does not aid in resisting this damage. If the Target dies from this Damage they are Frozen Whole, and on the following round they explode. This Explosion is identical to a Fragmentation Grenade's.
