Audiokinesis
Audiokinesis is the psionic ability to create and modify sound waves to mimic, intensify, hush, distort, as well warp, strengthen, echo, speed up, or slow down reverberations. The user can also affect music as well as produce it or absorb sound all together.

Powers:
1D Echolocation: The Psion emits calls out to the environment via high pitch sound and listens to the echoes that return from various objects near them, using it to map out, locate and identify objects. This ability is limited to ten yards (roughly 30 ft.). Since this ability isn't based on sight/light, Invisibility-technology is useless against it, as are most forms of Camouflage.

2D Sound Absorption: The Psion can absorb sound waves and neutralize incoming noise as well as any potentially harmful effects. The Psion surrounds themselves in a sphere-like field which absorbs all noise around them, making the Psion practically muted. Sound Absorption at this level can only be created around the Psion. It can also help counter sonic attacks, such as from the “Ice Hounds” feared sonic-rifles.

3D Sonic Boost- By charging a blast of sonic energy, the Psion can propel themselves for a short distant at unnatural speeds. The User can move far faster than the average member of the user's species, using focused sound to blast forward. By concentrating, the Psion is able to double their moving speed, using the push from sound waves to give them a few extra steps per second. The Psion may continue to use this ability, but must maintain focus (taking a -1 to all other actions). The Psion can use one Sonic Boost per round and may not do more than double their rate of movement.

4D Sound Mimicry: The Psion is able to invent, transform, alter or copy sounds and omit them from anywhere nearby. These ghost sounds can come from anywhere the Psion has line of sight of. The volume can be made to be as low as a whisper or high as a lion’s roar. These are not illusionary sounds, but actual, physical reverberations. With this ability, the Psion can also replicate voices (mimicking a certain person), creatures, machinery, songs, or other sound effects they’ve heard in the past. Depending on how strongly the Psion concentrates, he/she may even be able to trick audio-based security clearances that depend on a specific individual’s voices (though it doesn’t allow them to automatically know the password if one is needed).

5D Radio Waves : The character can communicate with ships, satellites, and bases as if they were a human-communication tower, being able to reach great distances into space.

6D Audio Masterwork: With this advanced ability, the Psion is so exceptional at orchestrating soothing, pleasant sounds, that they hypnotize anyone listening. This ensemble of resonance is a combination of soft music, peaceful humming, and tender maternal echoes. Anyone who can hear must try to will themselves to stay alert or fall into a spellbound trance. While under the influence of an Audio Masterwork, the listener is still conscious, but will not react to most nearby happenings unless they endanger him/her. Those under the influence of an Audio Masterwork describe it as a tranquil contentment comparable to receiving a pleasurable massage or delightful warm bath.

7D Sonic Blast:The Psion has honed his/her concentration on bending sound so much that he/she can release a ranged energy-attack of pure intense noise similar to a sonic boom. This invisible streaming cone of pure energy can knock over or even obliterate targets while damaging them with sound waves that disrupt matter. Though this blast is extremely powerful, it quickly looses strength as it reverberates outward and expands. This Sonic Blast completely ignores any types of armors (though sound dampening fields, etc. work against it), making it a vicious attack against even the best equipped foes. Those who suffer the Sonic Blast are usually deafened as well.

8D Disrupt Electronics: The psion lets out a combination of different radio and sound waves that interfere with all electronics, forcing computers, databands, etc. to malfunction.

9D Deafening Shockwave: With this ability, the psion emits a painfully high pitch tone that bursts eardrums and breaks audio equipment. In addition, the force of the sound wave knocks creatures off of their feet, sending them to the ground.

10D Supersonic Flight: With this ability, the Psion discovers how to use directed waves of supersonic discharge to fly at tremendous speeds. Using concentrated propulsion, the Psion soars like a rocket, directing his/her course by steering in an intended path. While this type of flight’s maneuverability is far more limited than others, it is much faster. Supersonic Flight can be very dangerous, and many Psions use it sparingly or make sure they’ve trained with it for years before utilizing it frequently. Supersonic Flight does not work in space, as the cosmic vacuum suffocates all sound.

Duration: Sustained

Range: Audiokinesis skill rating x Knowledge (radius)

Rules: Activating this power is a single Action. When active, the Psion gains the ability to effectively see their surroundings through sound, ignoring anyone hiding or taking cover. The psion also understands the shape and outline of the area so long as the environment supports sound.

Special: When active, Sound Absorption works as armor against sonic attacks such as Sonic Rifles, etc.

Duration: 1 action, 1 action each round to Sustain

Range: Self

Rules: Once a round, as an action, a Psion may choose to make an Audiokinesis roll, DC 10, in order to activate this power. If successful, they double their base movement, and in turn, run, climb, swim speeds.

5D Radio Waves:

Duration: 1 action to activate, an additional action each round to sustain

DC: Base 10, See Modifier Chart

Range: See Modifier Chart

At this level of study, the psion can now emit low radio waves at far distances that are picked up by nearby man-made transceivers. This allows the psion to communicate through radio waves (only sound) in order to speak with far away ships, vessels, satellites, etc. This takes an action to activate, with a difficulty based on the modifier chart below. This appears as if the psion is merely talking into the air for anyone around them. So long as the psion sustains the power, they may speak for as long as they wish, so long as there is no interference such as cosmic storms, jamming, etc.

Note: The psion uses their Audiokinesis skill instead of Comm to connect with communication devices.

Within 11-100 miles: -5
Within the Planet: 0
Within the Solar System: +10
Anywhere that can be traveled within a day without interstellar transportation: +15

LOGISTICS (When trying to reach a specific ship, base, satellite, etc.)
Psion knows exactly where the transceiver they are trying to communicate with is: -10
Psion has an idea of the transceiver's location such as what planet it is on, etc.: +5
Psion only knows the radio frequencies that the transceiver broadcasts on: +10
Psion is firing a general broadcast or wild distress signal +15

Anyone who can hear this must make a willpower check versus the user's Audiokinesis skill or be hypnotized.

Those under the influence of an Audio Masterwork can take no actions unless they are knowingly placed in harms way. Anyone who chooses NOT to stay and listen suffers a -1D modifier to all actions for each 5 points that the psion has beat them by during the dice-off. Those under this abilities power describe it as a tranquil contentment comparable to receiving a pleasurable massage or delightful warm bath.

Range: Centered on Self, Area of Effect is the Psion's Audiokinesis Dice Pool x Knowledge in Meters

Duration: Sustained

Base Difficulty: Psion's Audiokinesis vs Willpower (with circumstances modifiers)

Modifiers

+5 to target's willpower if they are of a different species then the Psion. ( A human targeting a Novacon)

+10 to target's willpower if they are of a radically different species then the Psion. (A human targeting an Elashani)

+20 or more to target's willpower if they are of a completely unknown species to the Psion. (A living Sentient Planet, Sentient Psionicly active AI's, etc...)

+10 to target's willpower if they are an enemy to the psion


Exceptions: Characters, Creatures, and Beings with no sense of hearing are immune, as are some Robots with no understanding of Art or beauty.

This invisible  cone of pure sound can rupture organs, shatter bone, and crack metal. Though this blast is extremely powerful, it quickly loses strength as it reverberates outward and expands. This Sonic Blast completely ignores any types of armors (though sound dampening fields, etc. work against it), making it a vicious attack against even the best equipped foes. Those who suffer the Sonic Blast are usually deafened as well.

Difficulty: DC 21 (Difficult)

Duration: 1 action to summon sound waves, 1 action to attack

Range: (4.5 meter) 15 Foot Cone
Psionic: Audiokinesis 15_foo11

Rules:
To activate, the psion must first make an Audiokinesis roll, DC 21, in order to summon up the dangerous sound waves. If successful, they must spend another action releasing the blast. This is considered a second action, but requires no roll. The psion simply rolls their Audiokinesis total in damage. Targets can not dodge or soak with armor, though sound dampening gear resists with its rank total.

Note: Glass, jewels, etc. within the path of this ability take +3D more damage.

Duration: 1 Action

Range: LOS

Difficulty: DC 26 (Heroic)

The psion may focus on any electronic item within site. The psion then makes an Audiokinesis roll on the electronic item. Smoke, cover, or scale should all be added or subtracted from the difficulty. If successful, roll 1D6 and consult the chart below.

Success Chart
1: Electronics shuts off for 1D6 rounds.
2: Electronics gives open admin rights for 1D6 rounds. The user must still roll computer/interface repair to give command
3: Electronics freezes up and will no longer be active until someone manually resets it
4: Electronics complies with one command (if it's a locked door it can open, computer takes 1 order)
5: Electronics spark and sputter before all programs are permanently destroyed
6: Of beneficial discretion of the GM

Note: This must be a specific device like a databand or navigation computer. It can not be "a ship" or "an entire server room." Robots with a Knowledge of 0D to 1D+2 or lower can be effected, but all others are immune due to their complexity.

9D Deafening Shockwave : With this level of Audiokinesis, the Psion can generate a powerful high pitch blast that erupts all around the user. This blast both knocks anyone in its zone onto the ground and deafens them.

Difficulty: DC 27 (Heroic)

Duration: Instant

Range: Psion's Audiokinesis skill x Knowledge Rating in a square radius around the psion.

Rules:
The psion spends an action, and then makes an Audiokinesis roll vs DC 27 (mark down the total for later use). If successful, any mundane items of one scale size higher than the psion and below automatically falls prone (furniture, hoverbikes, etc). Anything living or conscious can make an Acrobatics roll versus the original Audiokinesis result or fall prone (Character who were holding can act and instead give a lift or climb roll to cling onto something near them if available).

In addition, everyone affected by the Deafening Shockwave must make a Stamina check vs the original Audiokinesis result. Success means that the character can still hear. Failure results in the chart below...

Lost By
1-5: Stunned, -1D to all actions for one round
6-10: Temporarily Deafened, -1D to all actions for 1D6 rounds, and the character can not hear making verbal communication nearly impossible.
11-15: Temporarily Deafened & Off Balance: The character not only suffers 1D6 to all actions for 1D6 rounds and can not verbally communicate, but their equilibrium is also off balance, halving all base movement, running, climbing, crawling, and swimming checks.
16-20: Unconscious: Much like the effects of a Pulse Weapon or Stun Baton, the character fills up all damage boxes available on their Body Point chart until they reach the unconscious level. This character is considered unconscious until someone revives them.
21+: Permanently Deafened & Unconscious: The target is not only unconscious, but also is permanently deafened. Even if healed, characters must have corrective surgery in order to repair their destroyed eardrums.

Note: Anything, including robots, that has audio receiving sensors (IE: If you can hear) must make deafening checks. Anything that does not have Stamina or Strength dice, such as computers that can hear, revert to Hull or Knowledge checks, which ever is higher.

Rules:

When this power is successfully used it grants the Psion Flight at the speed of 1701 meters a round, or Mach 1 (1,225 km/h or 761 Mph). The speed grant by use of Super Sonic Flight is non-negotiable, it simply hurls the Psion forward at Mach 1, breaking the sound barrier.
Any maneuvers or stunts the Psion wishes to perform at this speed will require a Flying/ Zero Gee skill check.

WARNING: This power will likely destroy anyone attempting to use such within an enclosed environment. This power is far more advantageous to a Psion looking to fly through open skies across great distances then it is a Psion looking to cross a room.
